How can we understand what is the probability of the deep-sea elasmobranchs (sharks and skates) being caught on the crustacean bottom trawl fisheries?
We will analyze their diets using stable isotopes of Carbon and Nitrogen from a very small piece of muscle, to understand their prefered prey.
If crustaceans represent a large part of their diet, then, they are most likely to be caught in the bottom-trawlers net.
